From James Taylor III


James Hudson Taylor, III,  was born in Kaifeng, China.His great grandfather, J. Hudson Taylor was founder of the China Inland Mission, today known as Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF).

During WWII, Jamie, as he was known to his classmates, sisters Kathleen and Mary, and brother John were interned by the Japanese in Chefoo and then in Weihsien. He is a graduate of Greenville College, Asbury Theological Seminary,  and Yale University.

Dr. Taylor was founding president of China Evangelical Seminary in Taipei, Taiwan,  from 1970 - 1980.He served as  General Director  of Overseas Missionary Fellowship at  its Headquarters in Singapore, 1980 - 1991.

In 1994, Dr. Taylor joined Chinese colleagues in founding MSI Professional Services, (formerly Medical Services International), a creative initiative in Christian professional service in China.He currently serves as MSIís President Emeritus.

James & Leone Tjepkema Taylor have three children, Amelia, Signe, James, and nine grand children. #
