paintings,
Dear Leopold. I checked with my brother Eddie from
whose autograph book the four paintings came and he said o.k. for you to use
them. One untitled but painted by Bobby Simmons (Now Pamela Masters) into his
book is of a 'honey pot man' (Sanitary pan carrier man) doing his rounds,
another titled 'gate to freedom" which of course was the main gate by Mrs.
Jamieson; the next one is of the ball field and watch tower marked "To
Eddie Cooke" from P. A. Travers-Smith and the fourth one is signed by
Ursula Simmons WeiHsien, 1/9/44. Ursula is Bobbie's sister. The fifth one
is a caricature of camp titled " Weishien Activities"
endorsed "-- and so, we come to the end of the Page! with kind
regards to Eddie Cooke from Tom Nott." Also taken from Eddie's
book. Best regards. Joyce Bradbury.-----
